The round GTB-7VM is intended for destroying enemy troops in the open and in shelters, enemy emplacements, stone, concrete and brick fortifications, light armoured vehicles and automobiles.

The development for round GTB-7VM with thermobaric grenade GTB-7M is based on GTB-TVS round with thermobaric grenade GTB-7S.

The round has a newly developed rocket engine with increased rocket thrust and launching powder charge GTB-7PM with stabilizing assembly and forced propeller opening.

The stabilizing assembly is one of a kind on a world level and increases flight stability during the passive and active areas of the trajectory.

The warhead has a base fuse VD-1, mechanical type with inertial action and long-range, explosive train of safety type, multifunctional firing gear, working well after a ricochet and with negative angles of impact with an obstacle.
